BASIQ International Conference on New Trends in Sustainable Business and Consumption

Members of the Business Administration Research Center took part in the 12th edition of BASIQ International Conference on New Trends in Sustainable Business and Consumption, held during 25–27 June 2026 and organized by the BASIQ Association, Portucalense University, the Faculty of Business and Tourism of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE), REMIT – Research on Economics, Management and Information Technologies, and the Amfiteatru Economic Journal. The conference was hosted by Portucalense University in Porto, Portugal.

At the opening session, speeches were delivered by Professor Jorge Leite, Vice-Rector for Research at Portucalense University, Professor Helen Albuquerque, representative of Portucalense University, Professor Laurențiu Tăchiciu, President of the BASIQ Association, Professor Robert Bumbac, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Business and Tourism at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Professor Luis Pacheco, Director of REMIT – Research on Economics, Management and Information Technologies, and Professor Raluca-Mariana Grosu, Director of HUB – Business Administration Research Center and Managing Editor of the Amfiteatru Economic Journal.

At the beginning of the conference, Professor Carlos Brito and Professor Mladen Čudanov delivered plenary presentations addressing key challenges and opportunities in sustainable development, focusing on consumer behaviour and sustainability-oriented education.


The conference brought together researchers and practitioners from various countries, that have presented online and on-site. They have provided a valuable platform for the exchange of ideas, the dissemination of research findings, and the strengthening of international collaboration in the fields of sustainable business and responsible consumption.
